A moderate rainfall warning is an issue for all districts in the state of Odisha. It also applies to the districts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Micronesia, and Pune. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has advised the people living in these areas to take shelter and protect themselves from the ill effects of the rain. Moderate Rainfall Warning in Pune district

Pune district is on the receiving end of heavy rain. As the rains lash the city on Sunday, several areas of the district were inundate. This caused traffic jams and power cuts.

The rain also forced the release of water from dams. Water levels in the Krishna and Varana rivers rose. And over 500 people evacuated their homes from low-lying areas to safer locations.

A video of the rain is going viral on social media. According to the IMD, Pune will receive moderate to heavy showers for the next six days. It will also experience thunderstorms and lightning.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is also expect in the Ghat regions of the district. However, the district will also see light showers on Friday and Saturday.

Anupam Kashyap, head of weather at the IMD, said the monsoon trough was located in the southern side of the country. He also said that the rainfall in Maharashtra was due to the trough.

A new monsoon system is expect to develop over Mumbai and increase the intensity of the coming rains. But this will only last for a few days, and the upper limits of moderate rain may be reach during that period.

The heavy rains have also wreaked havoc in many parts of the country. While the rains have not reached the level of flooding, the water logging has been severe. In Latur, 100 hectares of Kharif crops were damage. People living in coastal areas have also been ask to relocate to safer locations.

Several other districts of the state have been affect by the ongoing rains. On the coast, fishermen have advised not to venture into the Bay of Bengal until Tuesday.

Moderate Rainfall Warning Karnataka

If you live in Karnataka, you have to brace for the heavy rains that are predicted to hit the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rain warning for most parts of Karnataka. It has also predicted moderate rainfall in most of the state, especially in southern states.

The IMD has forecasted heavy rainfall in several southern states, such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and UP. They have also forecasted thunderstorms in the state.

In the next five days, the South Interior Karnataka district is expecte to get moderate to heavy rains, while the coastal districts are likely to get light to moderate rain. Coastal Andhra Pradesh is also forecast to receive moderate to heavy rainfall.

Cyclone Mandous has weakened into a depression, but it will continue to bring moderate to heavy rains to southern interior Karnataka. However, the depression is expect to weaken gradually.

The IMD has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall in most districts in the next five days. However, it has also issued a yellow alert for coastal Karnataka and its adjoining parts.

Cyclone Mandous passed through the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu, causing waterlogging and disruptions in normal life. It moved over Mahabalipuram in the early hours of Saturday, bringing heavy rains to the coast and interior regions. The storm also affected parts of Kerala.

Heavy rains are predicte to hit coastal and interior areas of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Coastal districts are expect to get moderate to heavy rain, while the interiors will get isolate falls of light to moderate intensity.

Heavy rainfall is not only damaging horticulture and standing crops, but it is also disrupting traffic in cities, particularly Bengaluru, which has been experiencing heavy rain for the past three days. This can lead to water logging, which may cause underpasses to be close, travel time to be longer, and damaged roads to become impassable.

Tamil Nadu

As Cyclone Mandous continues to lash Tamil Nadu, the government has warned people to keep their supplies ready. NDRF teams have been deploy in various districts. They are equippe with the necessary communication equipment and flood rescue equipment. The teams are in close coordination with the Tamil Nadu state administration.

While the storm is expect to weaken, the Tamil Nadu government has advise people to stay away from the sea. It has also issued a warning to fishermen to stay off the sea until December 10. NDRF has set up 121 shelters, 169 relief centers and 5,093 rescue centres in the state.

IMD has predicted heavy rains for parts of north coastal Tamil Nadu. A low pressure area will move slowly to the west-northwest, bringing heavy to very heavy rainfall.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the system will bring spells of rain in the next 48 hours. The sky is expect to be generally cloudy with intermittent spells of moderate rain.

Rain intensities are likely to increase later on December 8. On Saturday, Chennai will experience light to moderate rain. Some isolated places in northern Tamil Nadu and parts of South Andhra Pradesh will receive heavy to very heavy rain. In addition to this, Chennai may also experience heavy rains on Monday and Tuesday.

Several other districts in Tamil Nadu are receiving light to moderate rain. Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and lightning are forecast over Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Tenkasi, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts.

However, cyclonic storm Mandous is likely to impact the state in the early hours of Saturday. The storm is estimate to make landfall in the southeast Bay of Bengal.

Odisha

Odisha may be getting the brunt of an upcoming low pressure area. The region will be likely to get lightning in some pockets and scattered light/moderate rainfall. In addition to rain, there may also be occasional reduction in visibility.

A low pressure area has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal. This low pressure is likely to move towards the state’s western shores. Depending on its course, it could be the source of light to moderate rain in the next 24 hours. However, there is a good chance of the weather in other parts of the state remaining cloudy.

The IMD has issued yellow warnings and orange alerts for several districts in Odisha. These include Bargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Sundargarh, and Sambalpur.

The trough has weakened over the Gangetic West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Centre, light to moderate rainfall is expect in many districts of the state.

Meanwhile, Odisha is gearing up to celebrate Durga Puja from October 1 to 5. The festive season has been hamper by torrential rains, but it is hope that the weather will improve over the next few days.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a daily weather bulletin mentioning a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal. Several districts in the state are under a yellow warning and will stay under the yellow alert for at least a day.
