Vincent Damon Furnier is Alice Cooper’s real surname. He was born February 4, 1948. Furnier was born in Detroit, Michigan and was raised by a religious family. Furnier’s father was an Evangelist in the Church of Jesus Christ.
His grandfather was an apostle in that same church, who later became president. Vincent Furnier was a very active member of church activities when he was a child, although he was often sick.
He and his family eventually moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he attended Cortez High School.
