Bowen Yang is an Australian-born American comedian, actor, podcaster, and writer. Yang is SNL’s first Chinese-American, first Austrasian-American, third out homosexual person, and fourth Asian cast member.

Yang’s family moved from China to Australia during the 1980s. Ruilin, Yang’s father, was raised in a straw-and mud house in Inner Mongolia (China). Ruilin was born to an inept family. However, he learned by candlelight and enrolled in college. Yang’s mother is an OB/GYN. Ruilin went to Brisbane to complete his PhD in mining explosives.

Yang Yang is Yang Yang’s sister. They spoke Mandarin and went to Sunday school in China. His family moved to Canada when Yang was six months old. Bowen discovered SNL (SNL). When he was nine years old, he and his family moved to Aurora, Colorado. He loved Conan O’Brien and David Letterman as a child.

Adrian Holguin was Yang’s math instructor and coach for Spontaneous Combustion. Yang was named “Most Likely To Be on SNL” in Yang’s 2008 yearbook.

Bowen Career Life

From 2013 to 2018, Yang learned Adobe Photoshop and graphic design from One Kings Lane. Yang was able to work with the firm during his comic relief. Dangerbox. Yang performed improv at UCBC.

Yang is co-hosting Las Culturistas alongside Matt Rogers.
