Every child has phases where they refuse to eat vegetables. OK. It was I who had done it. And I’m still going through it. However, as an adult, I make an effort to eat more healthily. I discovered that I enjoyed preparing these brussels sprouts in the air fryer once I began air frying meals.

You’ll enjoy this wonderful side dish recipe since it’s so simple to prepare and produces the crispiest brussels sprouts. It’s an ideal weeknight side dish because it goes well with various dishes, including Filet Mignon, Honey Mustard Salmon, and Pistachio Crusted Chicken.

What You’ll Need To Make Crispy Brussels Sprouts In The Air Fryer

It’s straightforward to make these sprouts! The entire pound of sprouts fits easily in the air fryer basket of my Cosori 5.8 Quart Air Fryer. You’ll need the following ingredients in addition to an air fryer to make this recipe:

• sprouts (brussels sprouts)

• Olive oil (virgin)

• garlic cloves (fresh or powdered)

• parmesan cheese, shredded or grated

• salt (kosher)

• A pinch of black pepper

How To Make Crispy Brussel Sprouts In The Air Fryer

1. Cut the brussels sprouts in half and rinse them before serving. Any discolored or separated outer leaves should be discarded.

2. Combine with 1 tablespoon olive oil and minced garlic or garlic powder in a medium mixing bowl.

3. Toss the ingredients together, drizzling olive oil over the sprouts.

4. Preheat the oven to 400°F, then place the sprouts into the air fryer. If they are coiled and overlapping, they will not be crispy.

5. Air fry for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees F, shaking the basket halfway through. Cook for a further 1-2 minutes, or until the parmesan cheese begins to melt, over the top of the cooked sprouts.

6. Add 12 teaspoon kosher salt and 12 teaspoon black pepper to taste.

Should Sprouts Be Half Cut Before Cooking?

The stems of sprouts should be removed before cooking. I leave some of the sprouts whole if they are small, but I cut them in half if they are larger. It’s easier to eat them if they’re bite-sized.

Is The Basket Needed To Be Sprayed Before Cooking The Brussel Sprouts?

They’ve previously been brushed with olive oil and don’t cling to the basket.

Can I Use Brussels Sprouts That Have Been Frozen?

You can use frozen sprouts, but I’ve found that the air fryer produces the crispiest results.

Can Sprouts Be Prepared In Other Ways?

Brussels sprouts may be topped with nearly anything! Bertolli’s has a lovely balsamic glaze. You may also make your own! Combine 14 cups balsamic vinegar and 1 tablespoon brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Then, before cooking, drizzle the glaze over the sprouts. Other little additions to the sprouts include chopped walnuts and cranberries, as well as bacon crumbles.

Can I Keep Leftover Brussels Sprouts In The Air Fryer?

Keep leftovers refrigerated for 3-4 days in an airtight container. To reheat them, place them in an air fryer basket and air fry them at 400 degrees for a few minutes.
