Bryshere Gray, the star of ‘Empire,’ has been arrested on charges of domestic violence against his wife
Bryshere Gray, star of “Empire,” was detained in Arizona on suspicion of abusing his wife, according to authorities.
According to KPNX-TV, Gray, 26, was arrested by the Goodyear Police Department on Saturday.
When the woman flagged down someone to beg for help near Gray’s home in the Phoenix suburb of Goodyear, authorities said she had visible bruises and claimed her husband had assaulted her.
According to officials, she told emergency crews that Gray had strangled her and was brought to the hospital.
Gray initially refused to leave his home when police arrived, but was apprehended when SWAT and crisis negotiators were dispatched, according to authorities.
Gray, who portrayed Hakeem Lyon on the Chicago-based TV programme, was stopped over in Chicago in 2019 after authorities claimed a temporary licence plate on his 2014 Rolls-Royce didn’t match the vehicle he was driving. He was penalised after being apprehended on a misdemeanour registration offence.
