Caroline Smedvig was 68 years old in 2022. She was born 31 May 1953. She was born in Albany, New York State. Smedvig is the child of Elisabeth Fitzsimons Goold and Albert Hessberg. Her father, a Yale University graduate, was a prominent Albany lawyer who was also a senior partner at Hiscock & Barclay. Albert was also the president of the Albany County Bar Association.

Smedvig, who is Caucasian, is American by birth.

Both of her parents died.

In Jan 1995, her father, who was a long-standing board member at the Albany Medical Center, died. Albert died from cancer at the age 78. However, Caroline’s mother Elisabeth died in 1991.

She began serving as a trustee in September 2007.

Smedvig worked before joining BSO for a few newspapers. During college, she was a journalist for the Knickerbocker News. Kim worked later for the Springfield Daily News (an old afternoon paper).

Since 2001, the couple has lived a happy married life. Their relationship has only grown stronger and Their wedding took place in Lindsey Chapel (part of Boston’s Emmanuel Episcopal Church). Their fifty closest friends and relatives witnessed their union.
