Davon Mcneal : In connection with the killing of an 11-year-old kid during a neighbourhood picnic on July 4, D.C. police have made one arrest and issued warrants for the arrests of others.
Mayor Muriel Bowser and Police Chief Peter Newsham said Daryle Bond, 18, had been arrested and charged in the murder of Davon McNeal during a press conference on Thursday evening.
Christian Wingfield, 22, Carlo General, 19, and Marcel Lamont Gordon, 25, are all suspected of being involved in the boy’s death, according to police.
According to Newsham, all three individuals have criminal history involving firearms.
At this moment, detectives are working on an arrest warrant for a fifth suspect.
It could arrive in the next few days, according to Newsham.
According to the family, McNeal was at the picnic in Southeast to buy a smartphone charger.
According to the boy’s mother, who works as a violence interrupter, he was caught in the middle of a local brawl.
