Dez Bryant news : Marion Barber III, a former Cowboys standout, is ‘down and out awful,’ according to Dez Bryant.
On Thursday, NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant released a highlight reel of former Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber III on social media, expressing his concern for the athlete.
Bryant stated that he was watching the video but couldn’t enjoy it because of Barber’s current situation.
“As I watch this video, I realise why I created @personalcorner: I know exactly how Marion Barber’s life is going right now….
I can’t even appreciate it since he’s so bad…to most people, we’re just numbers and times…” Bryant penned an essay.
Bryant promised that his new company, Personal Corner, would look after athletes.
The company’s goal is to “unleash boundless potential, both in and out of the game.”

Between 2005 and 2011, Barber spent seven years in the NFL, six of them with the Dallas Cowboys.
For the first and only time in his career, he was named to the Pro Bowl in 2007.
He rushed for 975 yards on 204 carries for 10 touchdowns, but he didn’t start a game for Dallas that season due to a shared workload with Julius Jones.
Barber had 4,780 running yards and 53 rushing touchdowns in his career.
Before the start of the 2012 season, he announced his retirement from the NFL. The Chicago Bears were his team for the 2011 season. Bryant didn’t elaborate on the situation with Barber.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Barber was arrested in 2019 on two misdemeanour counts of criminal mischief stemming from a 2018 incident in which he allegedly damaged cars.
Barber was sent to a hospital for a mental health evaluation in 2014 after being arrested in a different incident.
