Florida man february 10 : After allegedly throwing an alligator through a fast-food chain’s drive-thru window in October, a Florida man was arrested Monday and charged with assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

According to Florida Fish Wildlife and Conservation officials, Joshua James, 24, threw a 3.5-foot alligator through a Wendy’s drive-thru window in Palm Beach County nearly four months ago.
He was also charged with petty theft and illegally possessing an alligator.
Wildlife officer Nicholas Guerin wrote a report that James drove his pickup truck to the window at about 1:20 a.m. on Oct. 11.
When an employee handed James his drink, he sped away and threw an alligator through the window.
No one was injured, and Guerin captured and released the alligator into the wild.
Through video surveillance and a purchase at a nearby convenience store, James was finally apprehended.
In a December interview, James admitted to throwing the alligator, according to Guerin.
He claimed James informed him that he had discovered an alligator on the side of the road and had loaded it into his truck.
According to the Palm Beach Post, James is charged with a third-degree felony for possessing the reptile.
He could be sentenced to up to five years in prison if convicted of that charge.
According to WPTV, James was ordered to stay away from all Wendy’s restaurants, to avoid possessing animals other than his mother’s dog, to undergo a mental health test, and to refrain from possessing any weapons during his court appearance Tuesday. Later, he was released on a $6,000 bond.
