For a few years now, Google has included searches and detours to petrol stations in your map programme, and locating the nearest one is as simple as conducting a specific search and sorting the results by distance.

The list of petrol stations is directly integrated into Google Maps’ database, so all you have to do is run a generic search to find them. To do so, open the app and go to the top of the screen to the search bar.
When it comes to the terms you’ll need to write, you don’t need anything complicated because it works with the general “Gas stations,” which Google itself suggests. As a result, use the Maps search engine to look up the term “Gas Stations.” You can add a name afterwards if you wish to search for a specific one or a franchise rather than all in general, however it is recommended that you just search for petrol stations.
After searching for the term Gas Stations, Google Maps will display a list of all those that are close to your location, with links to each one’s profile or a direct route to go or a phone number. However, because this list is sorted by relevance, you must select the Sort by option at the top of the page, just below the term you searched for, to view the closest matches.
A window will open at the bottom of the screen when you click Sort by. The Relevance option will be selected in that lower box, and all you have to do now is click on the Distance option, which shows as a button next to it.
When you select the option to order them by distance, a list of gas stations will emerge, with the closest ones appearing first, followed by the farthest ones. In addition, you can see a depiction of all of them on the map above to get a sense of where they fall.
