Mini Aoc : Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY, has decided to stop making films.
Ava Martinez, aka “Mini AOC,” amused her admirers earlier this year with a series of videos mocking the socialist darling, which garnered millions of views on social media.
The fun, however, came to an abrupt halt on Wednesday, when Martinez’s family declared that she would no longer be imitating Ocasio-Cortez and that all of the videos she had recorded would be erased.
“Harassment and death threats from the left have gone too far for our family.
Our personal phone lines have been receiving calls “Martinez’s stepfather, Salvatore Schachter, took to Twitter to express his feelings.
“We deactivated all Mini AOC accounts for our own and our child’s safety.”
The response from “Mini AOC” was overwhelmingly positive, according to Schachter, but the hostility “got too much” as she reenacted images taken by the congresswoman at the southern border last year, and the remarks grew “increasingly personal, dark, and deadly.”
“She’s upset that she won’t be performing Mini AOC in the future,” Schachter said, “but we emphasised that it’s for the best and she’s fine with it.”
Ava’s family had a message for people who harassed her and her family on the left.
“Ava’s beauty, talent, and charm have been seen throughout the world, which was the whole reason for Mini AOC to begin with, and no amount of hate or rage would change that,” Schachter told Fox News. “As Ava suggests, ‘try using your words.'”
