Obi-Wan Kenobi A Jedi’s Return was produced for the Disney+ streaming service. Ewan McGregor reprises his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Star Wars prequel trilogy in this instalment of the saga.
The series follows Kenobi as he sets out to rescue the kidnapped Princess Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair) from the Galactic Empire, culminating to a showdown with his old apprentice, Darth Vader.
It is set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005). (Hayden Christensen). Following the commercial failure of Solo: A Star Wars Story, the project—originally conceived as a spin-off movie written by Hossein Amini and directed by Stephen Daldry—was reimagined as a limited series (2018).
August 2019, it was announced that McGregor will star, and Deborah Chow was chosen to helm the film a month later. The series was supposed to start filming in July 2020, but production was delayed in January 2020 due to Lucasfilm’s dissatisfaction with the scripts.

Obi-Wan Kenobi: The Making of a Star Wars Series features never-before-seen sneak peeks as well as behind-the-scenes material.
It also brings the Sith Lord Darth Vader (Hayden Christensen) and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) together over ten years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
