The First Secretary of India to the United Nations, Sneha Dubey, rose to fame after giving a tough reply to Pakistan’s prime minister at the UNGA. She received applause for taking such a strong stand against terrorism.

Sneha was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. She grew up in Goa, where her father took up a new job. She completed her primary and secondary education in Goa, where she was a top student at Manovikas School in Margao.

At a young age, she had already dreamt of becoming an Indian Foreign Service officer. When she was 12, she aspired to join the Indian Foreign Service (IFS). She took up her studies in Delhi and cleared the civil services examination in 2011.

She completed her undergraduate studies from a prestigious university, and went on to complete her MPhil from Johns Hopkins University in Delhi. After graduation, Sneha was selected in the Union Public Service Commission on her first attempt.

She was immediately sent to the Ministry of External Affairs, and in August 2014 she was posted to the Indian Embassy in Madrid. Sneha is an Indian diplomat, and she’s very proud of her achievements.
