Sunil is an Indian actor, politician, and film producer. He was born 6 June 1929. He served as the Minister of Youth Affairs in the Manmohan Singh government, and he was the former Sheriff of Mumbai.
He is also the father of actor Sanjay Dutt and politician Priya Dutt. He is widely considered to be one of India’s most influential people.
His parents came from Punjab and settled in Mandauli, a village near Lucknow. Sunil was only 5 years old when his father was killed.
His family was resettled in India, where his father’s friend Yakub saved them from the riots. He eventually went on to study at Jai Hind College and became an actor.
