According to Chalfen, the hearing will be held digitally through video.

Davis had already provided detectives with a frightening account of how the boys allegedly committed the murder.

In February, a video recording of the confession was shown in court.

“She’s attempting to flee. He told authorities in the 26th Precinct station house, “She’s screaming.”

“All I remember is her yelling for assistance.”

“That’s when Rashaun stabbed her,” Davis added.

“It doesn’t appear to be probing. He remarked at the moment, “It was like — slash.”

He responded, “I didn’t see him take out the knife, but I see all the feathers coming out of her coat.”

Lewis and Weaver were apprehended after the teen confessed, along with a plethora of evidence linking the suspects to the crime.

When Davis was apprehended the day after her murder, police said he was carrying the knife allegedly used in her murder.

According to Officer Randy Ramos Luna, a sergeant in the room at the time questioned, “What is this?”

According to the cop’s testimony, Davis said, “I’m carrying the knife for a pal.”

Davis repeated, “I’m holding the knife for a friend,” when questioned if he was authorised to bring the weapon to school.

Not just DNA forensics, but also surveillance footage and a crucial recording of the incident were obtained by police.

Throughout Davis’ confession, police left him alone with his uncle, Roosevelt Davis, who was caught on tape berating his nephew.

“Can you see what you’ve gotten yourself into by hanging around with the wrong f–king folks instead of bringing your ass home?” Roosevelt stated the following.

“This isn’t like school, where you get a five-day f–king suspension. He went on to say, “This ain’t like that.

” “All you had to do was go to school and bring your f–k ass home.”

Davis’ lawyer did not respond to a request for comment right away.
