Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters, “We are not going to say anything at this moment while the inquiry is ongoing. During a search of Trump’s Florida estate on August 8, the FBI recovered 11 sets of classified information. According to an affidavit made public on Friday, 184 documents with secret markings were also discovered in 15 boxes removed in January.

In response to a request from the Trump team for a legal special master to comb through the files, the Justice Department announced on Monday that authorities had concluded their own examination of possibly privileged information. Affidavit makes apparent that investigators are focused on possible violations of three felony acts, including a portion of the Espionage Act that criminalises the intentional retention or dissemination of national defence information.

President Joe Biden plans to discuss his crime prevention initiatives in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, and according to the White House, he will target Republicans who oppose his proposal to reinstate a ban on assault-style firearms. Monday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated, “A majority of Americans support this, but the NRA opposes it.” Therefore, we will hear from the president about the necessity of protecting our neighbourhoods.

As a Delaware senator, Biden played a significant role in temporarily outlawing assault-style guns, including firearms comparable to the AR-15, whose popularity has skyrocketed in recent years, and he wants to reinstate the prohibition. During the briefing, Jean-Pierre also justified the federal government’s decision to end the free at-home COVID-19 testing program this week, citing Congress’s lack of money.

The government has been extremely clear for months about our critical financing needs for COVID-19 response” We have forewarned that congressional inaction would result in unacceptable trade-offs and diminish our readiness.
