A man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a conservative activist at UC-Berkeley
Zachary greenberg : According to Fox News, the guy accused of stabbing a man riding a bicycle on a sidewalk over the weekend had been charged with assaulting a conservative activist at the University of California Berkeley last year in a case that made national news.
The latest allegations against Zachary Greenberg come as he continues to defend charges in an Alameda County court in connection with the Berkeley case.
Greenberg, 30, of El Cerrito, allegedly stabbed a bicyclist many times with a 4-inch pocket folding knife in Princeton-by-the-Sea on Sunday, according to San Mateo authorities.
In a news release, Sgt. James Goulart stated, “The victim reported that a male suspect got into a physical confrontation with him over an argument relating to him riding his bicycle on the sidewalk.”

The victim was taken to the hospital, where his status was classified as stable.
Deputies stopped a vehicle with Greenberg in the passenger seat minutes after the stabbing and arrested him for assault with a deadly weapon.
“Witnesses on the scene confirmed the identity of the suspect and the vehicle,” Goulart said. “We found the knife that was used in the assault.”
Greenberg stated that his last name was spelled Greenburg to deputies.

According to reports, he was released on $35,000 bail.
