Kalyani is an Indian actress who primarily appears in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam films. She was born on 5 April 1992 in Chennai, India. She began her career as an assistant production designer before deciding to pursue an acting career. Her acting debut came with a role in a Telugu film in 2003.
Originally from Tamil Nadu, Kalyani grew up in Chennai. She attended Lady Andal School, Chennai, for her early schooling. Later, she attended the Parsons School of Design in New York.
She studied architecture at Parsons School of Design and worked on Krrish 3 as a production designer. She then began acting in films, making her debut in Telugu with Hello. The film earned her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut, and the Apsara Award for Best Actress in a South Indian film.
She made her acting debut with the film Hello, co-starring Akhil Akkineni. She later went on to appear in the Tamil film Hero, starring Sivakarthikeyan. Kalyani will next appear in a Tamil film titled Marakkar.
