On February 28th, 2023, shocking news came out of Hyderabad. Shyam Yadav, 38 years old from Hyderabad died while playing badminton at Professor Jayashankar Indoor Stadium.
This is believed to be one of five such incidents across Telangana in two weeks where someone has passed away due to heart attack – all occurring within that stadium! As such, residents in the community were eagerly awaiting information regarding what transpired.
According to reports, the deceased has been identified as Shyam Yadav from Malkajgiri suburb of Hyderabad. CCTV footage captured the entire incident which showed Mr. Yadav lying on the floor on the badminton court with several people present checking if he was breathing.
Some claim life-saving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) could have saved him but unfortunately emergency services weren’t able to save him at that time.
Who Was Shyam Yadav?
Shyam Yadav’s brother reported that he was an enthusiastic sportsman who enjoyed participating in several sports such as badminton, cricket and other activities throughout his life.
In terms of work he worked at a private company and loved playing every day after work. Unfortunately the exact cause of death has yet to be determined but cardiac arrest appears likely the culprit due to recent incidents.
Recently, reports have surfaced of several instances in which fit and healthy people have tragically collapsed and died from heart-related issues.
The fifth such incident in as many days occurred recently when a 19-year-old boy collapsed while dancing at his relative’s wedding in Telangana. Reports state that this tragedy took place in Pardi village, Nirmal district – around 200 km away from Hyderabad.
On February 20, a man tragically passed away during a Haldi ceremony in Hyderabad. Video evidence revealed that as the man bent forward to apply Haldi to the groom’s feet, his heart gave out and he collapsed onto the floor.
