Gorkha movie starring Akshay Kumar By India Today Web Desk – There have been a number of reports that Akshay Kumar’s starrer Gorkha had been cancel.
The actor was also report to have walk away from the film after authenticity was question. Aanand L. Rai now has a clarification. Aanand L Rai confirm that the film had been reschedule, but Akshay Kumar was not allow to leave.

Gorkha was inspire by the bravery of Major General Cardozo in the 1971 war. Aanand L. Rai confirm that the film put on hold. Bollywood Hungama told the producer and director, “Yes, it’s true.“
This film is not being make at the moment. There are technical problems. There are technical issues.” He said that Akshay’s reports of him walking out are false.
An earlier report stated that Akshay quit the film project due to doubts about the authenticity of the events depicted.
According to HT, a source said that “some veterans of the unit Major General Cardozo was associate with during war reached out to him, raising serious doubts about his account.
“ Akshay is a strong supporter of the Armed Forces and will not associate himself with any story that might have a shadow or doubt.

Kumar announced Gorkha back in October 2021. He shared the first poster on Instagram. #Gorkha is a film about the life of Major General Ian Cardozo, a legendary war hero.

Akshay Kumar chosen to play Major General Ian Cardozo of the Gorkha Regiment, Indian Army in Gorkha.
He was a former Indian Army officer who command a battalion as well as a brigade. After stepping on a mine during the Indo-Pak war in 1971, he is believe to have broken his leg with a Khukri.
