Alica Schmidt: is someone you should keep an eye on. Schmidt, a 22-year-old German track and field athlete who has been dubbed “the World’s Sexiest Athlete” by a number of fans and blogs, is much more than her abundant blonde hair and lovely blue eyes.

Schmidt confirmed in an Instagram post on Saturday that she will be in Tokyo for the postponed 2020 Olympics this summer.
According to the Daily Star, Schmidt will compete for Germany in the women’s 4400 relay and the Games’ first 4400 mixed relay.
“It’s still surreal! I’m glad and excited at the same time to be able to do something I’ve wanted to do since the beginning of this!, “Schmidt wrote in the caption of a photo of herself posing in front of the Olympic Rings insignia.
“Bring it on – I’m really looking forward to it,” she added.
Schmidt has been a competitive runner for many years. She finished second in the 4400 relay at the 2017 European Athletics Under-20 Championships, taking home silver.
Schmidt earned bronze at the U-23 European Championships in 2019. Summer Walker also competed in hurdles and as a jumper, according to reports.
Schmidt expressed her gratitude at being able to run outside again in May, after suffering from a “torn ligament and other muscular difficulties,” as she described on Instagram.
Schmidt’s primary interest is sports, but he has amassed a sizable social media following and a reputation for delivering health and wellness information.
The Olympian has nearly two million Instagram followers and collaborates with German food brands such as Frosta and Food Spring, a company that specialises in organic sports nutrition. When her busy schedule allows, she enjoys eating healthy and cooking.
Schmidt wrote in a previous Instagram post on her eating habits, “My family usually claims that food is my favourite topic.” Sushi and surfing are two of her other passions.
Schmidt, a travel enthusiast, has also worked with SANTE Naturkosmetik and other hotel, beauty, and fashion firms.
Schmidt, who was born in Worms, Germany in 1998, developed a liking for running at an early age before rising to social media stardom.
Schmidt drew the notice of Thomas Kremer, a professional sprinting coach, during a previous family holiday, and he advised her parents sign her up for track, according to The Spun. Schmidt began racing at the age of seven.
She understood she needed to relocate to train with the best in challenging circumstances if she wanted to take her abilities to the next level.
Schmidt travelled to Potsdam after high school to train with the Brandenburg Athletics Association, according to The Spun. Schmidt moved to Berlin to train with the SCC Sports Club after a year with the organisation, with the goal of making the German national team. It was well worth it.
