After Klondike stated that it would be focusing on other products Choco Taco, ice cream trucks and convenience shops are no longer a fixture.

The Choco Taco, a nut-and-chocolate-topped ice cream snack that for decades has been a top choice at the ice cream truck or convenience store freezer, is being discontinued, its creator confirmed this week after weeks of rumours about its impending demise.

Klondike, owned by Unilever, makes the Choco Taco and other ice creams.

One response stated that the Klondike Choco Taco had been discontinued. We’ve had to make difficult decisions in order to keep our entire portfolio available nationwide due to an unprecedented rise in demand. We are sorry for any disappointment!

Many Choco Taco lovers, who mourned the loss of their beloved snack on Monday via social media, said that it tasted just like childhood, summer, or a fond memory. It was also ingenious when it was invented by Alan Drazen, a Philadelphia-based snack maker, in 1983. According to Eater’s 2016 history of the snack, it was called the “most loved and innovative of all American ice cream novelties.”

Mr Drazen explained to Eater that sugar cones are usually topped with nuts, chocolate and ice cream. Then, when you reach the cone, you only eat the ice cream and cone. The Choco Taco gives you the option of ice cream, cones, nuts, chocolate, and just about every bite.

This confirmation was a relief for summertime lovers who had been confused by the situation. Rumours circulated throughout the year about the Choco Taco’s demise. People reported not being able to find it on local shelves. Klondike assured fans via Twitter on multiple occasions that it had pulled four-packs last fall of the Choco Taco, but single portions would still be available at all the usual places.

However, on Monday night, Takeout, a food-focused newspaper, confirmed its demise.

Snopes, a website that debunks baseless myths, published a Monday article calling the Choco Taco’s discontinuation “false.” However, it had to reverse its course hours later when Unilever confirmed the truth.

Snopes stated that when we first addressed the rumour, it was called ‘False’ partly because we didn’t want to believe it was true.

Klondike offered some hope Monday to dissatisfied Twitter users in one of its replies.

It stated that it was working hard to find a way for Choco Taco to be brought back to ice cream trucks within the next years.

Are Choco Tacos discontinued 2022?

The Choco Taco is really discontinued,” Klondike stated in response to a Twitter user who inquired if the cancellation was a marketing tactic.

is Choco Taco coming back?

A week ago, Klondike ended the Choco Taco. It is possible that the decision will not be finalized.

What are the essential ingredients to make your Choco Taco a success? Patience.

Klondike announced last week that it would stop making its frozen treat. This wraps ice cream, peanuts, and chocolate in a waffle cone shaped like a taco. Klondike stated that the decision to cancel the product was disappointing to customers, but was one of many “very difficult decisions” the company had made.

This news sparked a flood of consumer comments about Klondike’s decision and the product. In response to one customer who couldn’t find Choco Tacos, Klondike tweeted: “We’ve heard our fans, we’re hoping that this favourite treat will be back at ice cream trucks over the coming years!”
