For the second time, Drake has a contract with Covid.
The eagerly awaited “Young Money Reunion” concert, scheduled for Monday, August 22, at the rapper’s OVO Fest in Toronto, has been postponed, the 35-year-old rapper revealed.
In a lengthy letter made on his Instagram before the concert, he expressed to fans that he was “deeply saddened.”
“I am utterly devastated to announce that I tested positive for Covid, and the ‘Young Money Reunion’ event set for tonight is being postponed to the SOONEST date possible,” Drake continued. When the new date is set, I will inform the city and let them know.
“Until then, I hope that everyone keeps safe and healthy. I love you all and I’m sorry for disappointing you on our weekend getaway. The instant I test negative, I’ll give you everything I’ve got on stage (apart from the Covid).”
Covid was Drake’s first client in the summer of 2021.
For the first time in seven years, Drake would have performed with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne at his “Young Money Reunion” concert.
Drake and Nelly Furtado played together at his OVO Fest in Toronto only days before he revealed his second positive Covid diagnosis.
After publishing pictures of himself with a heart shape shaved into his head and his hair gradually coming back to cover the pattern in August 2021, the father of one announced the news that he had Covid.
Covid was Drake’s first client in the summer of 2021.
“I had Covid that s*** grown in odd and I had to start over,” he stated. Don’t insult him; his hair will grow back.
With his 33-year-old ex-partner and former adult film actor Sophie Brussaux, Drake is the father of Adonis, a four-year-old boy.
Their son Adonis was born on October 24, 2017, the singer’s birthday.
On his 2018 album “Scorpion,” Drake finally addressed rumours that he had fathered a child with the former porn star.
