Chato of Marca MP is one of Mexico’s best-known singers and composers. His regional music band Marca MP, now based in North California, became famous for their single El Guero which earned them many fans. Other members of Marca MP include Cristian Daniel, Jesus Tizoc and Esteban Salcedo as well. Recently, however, reports began surfacing about Chato’s accident and hospitalization – leading many fans to ask “what happened to Chato?”

What happened to Chato?
Mexican singer Pedro Vargas, better known as Chato from Marca MP, had reportedly suffered injuries from a road accident in California. Reports indicate he has been admitted to an unknown hospital for emergency surgery. On Marca MP’s official Instagram page, Ricky Calderon posted a story thanking all fans who sent good wishes and heartfelt messages for Chato; unfortunately, it has since disappeared from view.
He revealed that Marca MP had originally planned to make a music video on August 2, but this has since fallen through after learning of Chato’s tragic car accident. Not much information has been disclosed by either the lead singer or the band about what caused this unfortunate event yet.
On August 4, Chato took to his Instagram page to thank his fans for their kind words and assure them of his health. In a brief video clip posted by the 19-year-old Mexican native, he is seen wearing hospital robes with what appears to be severe facial damage due to the accident; however, it appears that he is recovering well.
