In an interview, Grace and Frankie’s star revealed that she thought marriage would last forever when she married him.
Jane Fonda, 85 years old, is reflecting on her career.
Entertainment Tonight spoke to the Oscar-winning actress, who revealed that she had no idea she’d return to screen again after marrying billionaire Ted Turner.
Fonda said that she left 15 years ago when Ted Turner married me. She didn’t think I would be back because when Ted married me, I thought it would be forever.” Fonda was promoting 80 for Brady, in which she stars alongside industry veterans Rita Moreno and Sally Field.
She continued, “But I returned, and frankly, even if somebody told me that I’d be making this type of movie at 85, I wouldn’t believe them.” “So, I feel very fortunate.”
Fonda, who was married to Turner (84), in 1991, announced her retirement. After 10 years of marriage, the former couple split in 2001.

Fonda shared her story in a 2018 HBO documentary, Jane Fonda: Five Acts. Fonda said she changed her personality to fit the men in her family, including Henry Fonda, her father and her three husbands Tom Hayden, Turner, and Roger Vadim.

The Grace and Frankie star, who had recently parted ways with Turner, said that she was unable to prioritize her own needs. She divorced Turner and never looked back.
