Kohl’s Sephora has a wide selection of high-end beauty brands. From cult favorites to top-sellers, there’s something for every woman. Plus, you can shop in-shops at select stores.
Top-selling brands at Sephora at Kohl’s
The Sephora at Kohl’s location allows customers to have easy access to a wide range of best-selling brands and products in one convenient place. The store is a shining spot in Kohl’s beauty business and has seen “extraordinary growth.”
Since announcing the partnership, Sephora has added more than one million new customers to the Kohl’s community. The partnership may not have reached all its goals but it is a good start.
These two companies collaborated to create a better shopping experience for Sephora customers. This includes bringing a variety of prestige beauty brands to Kohl’s and expanding the offering of fragrance products.
Sephora will collaborate with Kohl’s in creating curated collections. The Sephora Collection will be included in these collections, along with a range of cosmetic brands.
As a result of this partnership, Kohl’s saw a 3.4% increase in SG&A expense in the second quarter. However, its overall revenue dropped 8.1%. It’s still a modest increase compared to 7.7% decrease in comparable sales. However, the company stated that its strength was continuing to be seen across all product categories.
Adding six new prestige beauty brands
Sephora at Kohl’s has added six prestige brands to their selection for spring. These include Murad Cosmetics, Living Proof, Voluspa Charlotte Tilbury and NARS as well Clarins.
This new brand joins existing prestige beauty brands like Clinique or Kiehl’s. This brings the total number of prestige brands available in Sephora at Kohl’s to 125.
Each Sephora at Kohl’s shop will offer a curated selection of prestige brands in a 2,500-square-foot space. You’ll find a Sephora Beauty Advisor trained in testing and discovering, as well personal beauty consultations.
While the Sephora at Kohl’s concept is still relatively new, the stores have already helped drive impressive results for Kohl’s. They have seen a rise in cross-category shopping and customers coming from diverse backgrounds, according to the company.
Sephora at Kohl’s locations are on track to reach 850 by 2023. There are 400 more Sephora stores planned for the year than the retailer is planning to add.
Shop-in-shops in select stores
You don’t often see major retailers add a shop-inshop feature to the shopping experience. Although it isn’t quite as convenient and enjoyable as going to your local department store, the walk down the hall will save you the hassle of having to lug your items around.
Also, Kohl’s has some great deals on new home furniture, apparel, accessories, and other goodies that are only available at their store. Expect more of these sales in the months ahead as holiday shopping season approaches. The best part? It’s free!
Of course, you’ll have to be a loyal Kohl’s shopper to get that coveted store-hopping oomph. Fortunately, you can count on a wide variety of discount coupons and promo codes for most of the year, making shopping for a plethora of tchotchkes a snap.
JCPenney Partner
Sephora and Kohl’s announced a new partnership. Kohl’s claims that their plans to open up to 850 Sephora retail shops within Kohl’s stores between 2023 and 2023 will boost Kohl’s bottom line by more than $1B.
Each shop is 2,500 sq. ft. and offers full-line Sephora products. They will be located in 200 Kohl’s locations, with plans to expand to 400 more by the end of the year.
Sephora plans to partner with the well-known retailer in order to establish a new presence in suburbia. Sephora offers shop-inshops in addition to the mall-based shops it owns.
Penney’s has approximately 650 Sephora locations. Many of these stores were closed during the pandemic, but a few reopened. When JC Penney filed for bankruptcy in April, Sephora had a few options.
Penney could also terminate the agreement early. In response, Penney argued that Sephora tried to terminate its contract before the pandemic hit, despite being in full compliance. Sephora denied the claim.
You could also build mini Sephora shops in selected Target and Kohl’s stores. It would look similar to the miniature Starbucks located in Target stores.
