Mary Laurence ‘Lauren’ Hutton is an American model and actress known for her work in the films ‘The Gambler’ and ‘American Gigolo’. She was born in Charleston, California, and had a difficult early life. Her parents divorced when she was a little girl and her father died after a few years.

She began her modeling career in the 1960s, even posing for the ‘Playboy’ magazine once. She eventually made her acting debut in the sports comedy film ‘Paper Lion’. In the ensuing years, she earned popularity for her role in the crime drama ‘The Gambler,’ a film that was much appreciated by the critics.
