Marcel young was DR. Dre’s Eighth child
Although Marcel Young was not as busy as his parents’ childhood, he was still Dr. Dre’s son. Being associated with Dr. Dre was a risky business back then. Marcel Young was born February 6, 1991 in circumstances that, according to Michel’le, were not pleasant.
Michel’le met Dr. Dre for the first time when she was sixteen years old. Dre was only 22 at the time. Michel’le was a singer in the group World Class Wreckin” Cru, which Dre was also part of. Dre had already had several children when they began dating.
Dre was just 16 years old when he gave birth to Curtis, his first child. In 1983, Dre had his first child, LaTanya Young. Dre was blessed with Tyra Young, his second child, in May 1984. She was born to a new mother. Dre then had LaToya in September 1984, with LaTanya’s mom.

Another daughter was born in 1985. Ashley was Dr. Dre’s fourth and fifth children. Andre Young Jr. was the next child to be born (to a different mom) and Dre then had Marcel Young three years later. Truice Young and Truly were Dre’s second children after Marcel. Dr. Dre now has nine children and Marcel has eight half-siblings.
It should be noted that Marcel Young is the father of this child. His mother had another child, Bailei Knight, who is also a famous (or infamous?) name in the rap world, Suge Knight. We’ll get to that later.
Given his many children and the celebrity life Dr. Dre has, it is not surprising that Dre’s children are often in the limelight. While some have taken to the spotlight, others like Marcel Young have chosen to live a quiet lifestyle away from their father’s famed lifestyle.

Marcel Young is a quiet person who has no problems with his life. The 31-year old is not known much about his life, including what he does for a living. His only social media activity is when his mother mentions him in her posts.
We don’t know if Marcel Young has children, is married, or lives a single life. He is apparently still in touch with his father, although the extent of their relationship remains unknown.

Marcel Young’s teenage years and Marcel Young are the only thing we know. He lost his older brother by three years in 2008. Andre Jr. was just 20 years old when his mother found him in his bed. Overdose of heroin or morphine was the cause of his death.

While some may call Marcel Young strong (which she is absolutely), others might call her crazy for staying the course. But one thing is certain, Marcel Young’s mom is a survivor. Dr. Dre was already a father to several children, so she knew that Dr. Young would have more children. She continued her relationship with Dr. Dre when additional babies were born.
When Dr. Dre began to drink more, she stayed put and continued to support him. Marcel Young’s mother ended up with five black eye, a broken nose and broken ribs from their time together. Michel’le took some time to open up about the horrors that she experienced on a daily basis with Dr. Dre. She said it was all she knew. After her uncle beat her aunt, she saw them both again and soon the two were back to normal. She learned that this was the norm for women growing up.
Dre started to beat her so she thought it was normal. Marcel Young’s father fired a gun at Marcel Young, and she was shot. Michel’le explained that Dre and she had just returned from a party, and they were getting into an argument.
Things quickly went south and she fled to the bathroom for safety. Dre pulled out his gun just as she was running into the bathroom and fired at her. He was a few inches short of her.

Marcel Young’s mother was in a difficult situation and ended up losing her son. She left Dr. Dre and went to Suge Knight. Michel’le was then subject to constant abuse, until Suge finally struck Michel’le with such force that his jaw broke.
Michel’le still married Suge while he was in prison in 1999. Suge is currently serving a 28 year sentence for manslaughter. She filed for divorce six-years later. She discovered that he never divorced his ex-wife while she was filing papers.
He has a strong bond to his mother & younger sister
According to his mother, Marcel Young and Bailei Knight have a great relationship. Mom is happy to see them both in each others’ lives. Marcel has not been seen in Surviving Compton’s biopic. He has kept his head down and remained happy in the shadows. He doesn’t seem to be leaving them any time soon.
