Meghan McCain fires back at the press as she announces her departure from ‘The View’
McCain announced her departure from the ABC talk show on Thursday, after four years as the lone conservative voice on the show, where she frequently clashed with the liberal majority and enraged left-leaning audiences.
She was also the topic of a lot of bad attention, with people criticizing anything from her statements to her criticism of her father, John McCain, to her makeup and styling choices.
“To the rest of the world watching… McCain stated, “The media needs to do a better job of covering the ladies on this show.”
“The media is suffocating us with deep misogyny and sexism.” I truly believe that if five men did what we do every day, we would win the Pulitzer Prize.”
She continued, “It’s always reduced to pretty reductive coverage.” “I beg the media to do a better job covering the rest of you in the future.”

No one wanted to watch five men do the same kind of show, according to liberal co-host Joy Behar, with whom McCain has had numerous on-air feuds over the years.
McCain answered, “Fair enough.”
McCain could “take on anything,” according to co-host Whoopi Goldberg, after four years in the spotlight on the show.
McCain agreed, saying, “So accurate.”
“Every imaginable weapon has been fired at you,” Goldberg continued, “so when you leave here, you’re a better person, a better woman, a better mother, a better friend.”
“So, we’re going to be together for a month.” Let’s make the most of this opportunity.”
McCain said it was painful to go, but she had settled down in Washington, D.C with her husband and children since the coronavirus pandemic and didn’t want to uproot her life again for the New York-based program.
