Mike Tyson daughter Milan, 12, was seen training with Serena Williams’ coach and American teen sensation Coco Gauff (15), who already had defeated Venus Williams twice at Grand Slam events.
Mike Tyson, the father of eight including Milan, was found in a boxing ring later last year alongside American tennis great Serena Williams (38), who holds 23 Grand Slam titles – two behind Margaret Court from the 1970s. It’s highly likely that Tyson’s close connection with Serena could have something to do with their daughter Milan.
Milan, a junior tennis player, has been trained by Patrick Mouratoglou – coach to American supersisters Venus Williams and Serena Williams as well as 15-year-old sensation Coco Gauff – for several years now. Under Mouratoglou’s mentorship, Milan has developed an atypical yet highly effective playing style.
At a weekend interview with a reporter, Tyson explained to Milan how important it was for her to look up to idols like Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams. If she wants to succeed in sports, he said, “Talking about Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams is what you must do.”
