Police claim a ‘friend’ has been charged with murder after a missing Utah woman was discovered dead
Missing utah woman : After the body of a missing Utah woman was discovered along a river late Sunday in what authorities described as a mysterious incident, a man was detained.
Masako Kenley, 53, was discovered dead in a highly wooded region near Sandy, a city 17 miles south of Salt Lake City, according to Sandy Police.

Police have detained 73-year-old William Reilly, whom detectives characterised as her “acquaintance,” in connection with her death, according to FOX13 Salt Lake City.
Detectives are currently looking for information in the case, according to Lt. Dean Carriger, who did not have the facts on their relationship yet.
According to Sandy police, Kenley was last seen around 4 p.m. Friday in Midvale, roughly 6 miles northwest of Sandy.
After her family and friends had not heard from her the next day, she was reported missing.
Kenley’s automobile was later discovered in a Costco parking lot in Sandy by police.
Throughout the weekend, detectives looked for Kenley. According to the station, about 100 people assisted in the hunt on Sunday.
Late Sunday, detectives were led to the Jordan River by the non-profit search and rescue company Rocky Mountain Rescue Dogs, Inc.,
who assisted them in searching the dense undergrowth near the river.
According to authorities, the canine search and rescue squad was “crucial” in locating Kenley’s body.
According to the station, Reilly faces accusations of felony aggravated murder, desecration of a corpse, and obstruction of justice, however police have not revealed what led to his arrest in connection with Kenley’s death.
Police are still investigating Kenley’s death and have not given any additional information.
