She received her music education at Boston’s New England Conservatory of Music. In September 2019, Taylor Ashton, a Canadian singer and musician, married her.
When she was seventeen, Rachael released her first album. Rachael won praise for her participation in the Montreux Jazz Festival International Jazz Vocal Competition two years later.

She has been a key player in several of ABAC’s varsity sports teams, as well as her teaching duties. She was instrumental in creating the Eagles (varsity) and the Tigers (varsity).
Although her name is not mentioned in the same breath as many of her colleagues, she has been the recipient of several high-profile accolades over the years. Recently, she received the prestigious Chancellor’s Learning Scholar award. This is a very cool award.
