Shakira and former partner Gerard Pique had a public break-up in 2022 that was later revealed as due to his alleged cheating. Recently, Shakira released her Spanish song TQG which has been dubbed as an open letter dissing her former flame after he went public with new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. Gerard allegedly cheated on Shakira while on tour.

Not every wish comes true in life, but life finds a way to make up for it.” She went on to explain that she “bought into the idea that women need men in order to feel complete”
She continued, “There is a quote I love which says: ‘There is a special place in hell for women who don’t support women.'” Although Shakira didn’t directly refer to Gerard’s new girlfriend, her statement has been interpreted as an allusion toward her.
The ‘Whenever Wherever’ singer acknowledged that she has always felt emotionally dependent on men. However, she added, “When a woman has to face life’s battles, she comes out stronger.”
