Sydney Leathers spills the beans on the Anthony Weiner sexting scandal in a candid interview
Sydney leathers : Sydney Leathers says in a new interview that she wanted to “capitalise” on her role in the Anthony Weiner sexting controversy by filming porn since people already thought she was a “whore.”
“I felt that the societal stigma was already there in such a serious sense,” Leathers said in a lengthy Q&A with The Business of Business.
“And because that was my legal name, I didn’t think it was much of a stretch to do porn. ‘Oh, well, they already think I’m a whore,’ I thought.”
The now 31-year-old, whose 2013 mayoral campaign was derailed by an X-rated online romance with married Weiner, went on to become a porn star, performing on PornHub and OnlyFans.

Given her name, she claims that doing porn was a natural progression.
Leathers, who now works as a marketer for the digital payment network SpankChain, stated, “I’m just blessed with a really pornographic sounding name.”
Weiner’s attempt to sell NFTs of the famed crotch image that cost him his congressional seat was also slammed by Leathers.

She would never be homeless as a result of everything she had gone through.
I may have ended up on the streets. I had no one to like, live with, or recoup with. I didn’t have anyone who could assist me in paying my rent. I was alone and had no one.”
Leathers spoke privately to Christie Smythe of The Business of Business, who is tied to another known bad boy, Martin Shkreli, aka “Pharma Bro.
” Leathers’ “experience struck an especially powerful chord with me because I’ve also been a subject of tabloid spectacle,” Smythe writes in the interview’s preamble.
Meanwhile, Leathers said she’s gone a long way since her sexting romance with the then-married pol became public.
“I’ve been in trauma counselling for a while now. I went to college and graduated with a bachelor’s degree “Leathers remarked.
