Disney star Bella Thorne recently spoke to US magazine about her friendship with Shake It Up co-star Zendaya. Although the two may be close now, their friendship didn’t always run smoothly when filming the series. Talking Bella recounted several issues she and Zendaya encountered while shooting for the series, viewers can gain some insight into what made them such great friends in the beginning.
On February 17th, Bella Thorne and Zendaya of Disney’s hit show Shake It Up revealed to US Magazine their admiration for Zendaya after three years onscreen together. Although both actors now work together well, their relationship was tested during filming when both struggled to click. “We had so much dealing with,” Bella told US Magazine on the 17th.

Talking Bella and Thorne and Zendaya often expressed to their fans during previous interviews how they weren’t close friends during the first season of Shake It Up. According to Bella, it wasn’t until later in their journey that they became closer, due to being pitted against each other on set and feeding each other’s hearts with the competition.
The Turning Point
Thorne shared that their relationship took an important turn when they had a ‘beautiful talk in the middle of a sound stage’ while filming for Good Luch Charlie. She spoke of how both she and Zendaya were able to express their honest thoughts to one another and truly understand each other. Thorne expressed how happy she felt that they had reached such maturity at such a young age.
Bella Thorne recently spoke to US Weekly about her views on Zendaya. In the interview, Bella expressed that she loves Zendaya and is delighted that people are enjoying and appreciating Zendaya’s movies. However, Bella questioned those who put them against each other when they were younger – including one question which asked whether it was because they were female?
