Since at least January, Weaver’s account had been hidden from public view when he was accused of sexual harassment by more than 20 young men through social media messages.

On Friday evening, Washington Free Beacon reporter Matthew Foldi discovered the account had been disabled.

It’s unclear whether Weaver deleted his account on Friday. Still, it was active earlier this week when his handle was utilized in the continuing viral “Liberal Hack Tournament” contest by “Ruthless” co-host Comfortably Smug.

Weaver, a No. 6 seed, upset No. 3 seed Dave Weigel of the Washington Post in the “Way-Too-Online” zone, joining other mainstream media titans in the Sweet 16 of the tournament.

Chris Cillizza, CNN’s editor-at-large, will be Weaver’s opponent. Steve Schmidt, a co-founder of the Lincoln Project, has previously been beaten.

According to recent research, The Lincoln Project’s leadership was aware of the Weaver claims as early as January 2020, only one month after the group’s formation. Those revelations contradict public assertions made by members who claimed to have only recently learned of Weaver’s actions.

Millions of dollars received through donations were diverted to the co-founders’ consulting firms, raising doubts about the anti-Trump PAC’s finances.

The organization has commissioned a so-called “independent” study.
