On Saturday, Fox News’ senior meteorologist Janice Dean attacked NBC’s Lester Holt, alleging that the “Nightly News” host had silenced her in order to defend New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo received criticism this week when state Attorney General Letitia James’ inquiry revealed that the actual number of senior New Yorkers who died from the coronavirus outbreak in nursing facilities was much higher than what had previously been reported by government officials.

Dean tweeted on Saturday, “So [NBC News’ Lester Holt] censored one of my friends who lost a loved one in a nursing home.” “They advised her to say “New York failed us” in the interview when she wanted to say “[Andrew Cuomo] failed us.” This man is still being shielded by the establishment. Disgusting.”

Dean continued, “The governor, his administration, and his health department failed us,” and branded Holt and Cuomo a “disgrace. As of Saturday night, Holt has not publicly responded to Dean. Fox News contacted NBC News for a response as well.

Even before this week’s findings, Dean, who lost both of her in-laws to the coronavirus in nursing homes in New York, had been critical of Cuomo and his coronavirus response. Following the discovery that official figures “under counted by as much as 50%” the number of seniors who died after catching the disease in a nursing facility, the New York governor has come under heightened investigation.

The attorney general’s office continues to look into the inconsistencies. Dr. Howard Zucker, the state’s health commissioner, still made a statement on Thursday that some have interpreted as an attempt to justify the disparate numbers.

According to Zucker, the state reported fatalities according to the place where the death took place, therefore if a person passed away in a hospital after initially developing the illness in a nursing home, their death was not considered a nursing home death.

According to Zucker, “DOH [Department of Health] does not disagree that the number of patients transported from a nursing home to a hospital is an essential data point and is now evaluating this data from nursing homes. When some people, like Dean, took issue with his answer to the report, he did not assist his case “Who gives a damn? they passed away, either in a hospital or a nursing home.

The Democrat then talked about coping with the death of his father, the late Mario Cuomo, governor of New York. He said, “The sorrow is so tremendous and unfathomable. It is tragic. But many people found Cuomo’s attempt to empathize with those who were grieving the loss of loved ones who died from the virus to be ineffective because the older Cuomo passed away in 2015 and did not succumb to the infection.
