Win in a Minute Guy Fieri Is Involved In An Embarrassing Custody Battle
Morgan Fieri : Guy Fieri, the famous chef and host of NBC’s “Minute to Win It,” is fighting for custody of his nephew after his sister died.
When Fieri’s sister Morgan died of cancer in February, her 11-year-old son Jules was thrust into the heart of a custody fight between Morgan’s parents and the boy’s father.
Jules’ grandparents argued in a petition for guardianship that the father, Dain Pape, should not be given custody since he is “living out of his motor home” and has no source of income.
A Marin County judge ruled with Pape last week, finding that he should have custody of his kid and that the grandparents must restore Jules to him.
Pape told TMZ that Jules has yet to be returned to him since the verdict.
Jules has been vacationing with his uncle, Guy Fieri, on a remote lake in Northern California without mobile connection, according to Pape.
Pape claims he hasn’t driven to the lake because he doesn’t want to upset the family.
He only asks that the grandparents follow the court’s orders.
TMZ has contacted out to Fieri’s representatives, but has yet to hear back.
