Over 40,000 Christians gather for ‘The Send,’ the beginnings of the ‘biggest Jesus movement
The Send Event : Thousands of Christians filled the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, while thousands of churches around the United States watched the event live-streamed as part of a “new Jesus movement.”
Evangelist Lou Engle, Youth With A Mission (YWAM), and other organisations sponsored “The Send,” a 12-hour event Saturday that was a partnership of national ministries aimed at mobilising Christians to fulfil their God-given call.
After a talk in 2011 with YWAM members about a new generation of Christian missionaries rising up following the death of Rev. Billy Graham, Engle, the founder of “The Call,” stated “The Send” was born.
A ‘SPIRITUAL AWAKENING ON COLLEGE CAMPUSES’ is the goal of the ‘COLLEGIATE DAY OF PRAYER.’
“We believe something will transfer this day and propel us into, I believe, the greatest Jesus movement the world has ever seen,” Engle stated.
Graham, who was regarded as “America’s Pastor” and who filled stadiums at revival services across the country and around the world, died a little over a year before the event.
WORSHIP LEADER STARTED FOSTERING BECAUSE “THE LORD BEGINNED TO SPEAK TO US
Lindy Conant-Cofer, who was recently prompted by God to begin fostering a baby boy with her husband, led worship with her band, “Lindy and the Circuit Riders,” during the day.
She recently told Fox News that she believes the moment is right for a “Third Great Awakening,” a concept that pervaded the conference.
THE ‘THIRD GREAT AWAKENING,’ AS SEEN BY CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN ARTISTS, IS ON THE WAY.
People committed to an area of action for their faith as the day progressed, thanks to preachers like Bill Johnson and Benny Hinn, as well as worship teams like Tasha Cobbs-Leonard and Bethel Music.
Throughout the day, over 500 people were saved or accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Thousands joined up for each individual calling to reach high schools, college-aged youth, and people from different countries, with over 17,000 committing to a “Jesus fast.”

One of the speakers, Todd White, noted that every Christian wants to do more but doesn’t know how.
“It’s all linked up in the cross and the reality of God’s love for me,” White said.
“When I know how much He loves me, I can’t keep silent, and when we recognise who He’s created us to be, we’ll want to spread the good news because we’ll want to take as many people to heaven with us as we can.”
“The only thing that matters is that I live my life completely for Jesus.”

A California pastor, Francis Chan, told the crowd that it’s unjust that they get to hear from “20 speakers and 15 bands” when entire people groups have never heard the Bible.
