The master of a container ship weighing near about 8,000 tons has fined after he was found drunk on duty. Piotr Gruszecki (65) was the master of the BG Rotterdam container vessel when he brought it into British Docks. A court heard. Edward Woodhouse, a pilot, was brought aboard to assist with docking. He could smell alcohol on Gruszecki. Gruszecki was asked if he had ever been drinking. Mr Woodhouse then called the police.
